South African based political analysts and
former Independence Candidate for Mazowe North Shingirayi Rungangah has called
for leaders of political parties in the country to put people first by shaking
off the garment of pride and unite together towards economic revival at a time
Zimbabweans are facing the most grueling life experience

In an interview with The Zimbabwe Matrix, Rungangah said both
Nelson Chamisa and Emmerson Mnangangwa must find a common ground to unite as
soon as possible to save the people of Zimbabwe who are reliving the horrors of
2008 and early warning signs of social unrest in the country
“It is high time we end with individual
politics and hero worshipping actions that are meant to excite a few elites. Chamisa
and ED must shake off their pride which is the major reason undermining
dialogue which can translate to economic prosperity. Things are not well right
now and there is no hope if these two keep on playing hide and seek.
“This call for dialogue has to focus on
saving the nation first from the wiles of the economy which is irretrievable
broken. If and only if MDC and Zanu Pf humble themselves before the electorate
and join hands will we be able to pull through from these dark times,” he said
The game of thrones politics currently
shaping the country has seen Zimbabwe burning like the epical kingdom of Troy
though this time not for Helena.
The country is bracing for more hard
times amid skyrocketing prices in the impending doom of the back to school
which has seen many parents distraught and cast a gloomy future for the welfare
of several young people of school going age.
Rungangah who ran for the Member of
Parliament as an Independent Candidate for Mazowe North said he is willing to
work with Campion Mugweni despite having lost to him.
“We are happy the constituency is
improving, the current MP has so far done better though it seems people are
deliberately ignoring the positives and choosing to focus on the minor
negatives.
“However, we want him to introduce
projects that we can sustain and achieve without haste. Projects that are
viable both in infrastructure and personnel not populist policies meant to
excite people but projects that will benefit all.
Rungangah also warned Mugweni and other
MPs to be very mindful of their electorate saying people are the political
traffic signs for every leader.
“The people are his mirror. They are
his traffic signs which will show green when he has to move. Yellow to slow
down and red to stop. Roads in our constituency are impassable and this is one
area that if addressed will make the rest of the projects easier.
“He must also ensure that the women of
Chiweshe and Hauro have water to spare them the burden of fetching it from the
river,” said Rungangah.
Asked on his political career
prospects, the vocal youth who was a former member of Zanu Pf said it is no
longer time to be partisan but to support those in power for a better Zimbabwe.
